To adhere to the promise I have made.
7 May 2009, Thursday:
As of what I am absolutely sure of, I ended school at 1100 with only a two hours worth of Marketing Fundamentals tutorial. What's there to like, or what's there not to like? I love my group members for this project. Poor Eugene, though, the only guy in our group, but rest assured, we have all promised to look after him. He's adorable.
Right after school, Adz, Cryst, Mas and I decided to head over to Hamz house since she wanted to get changed. We traipsed all the way to a bus stop near Safra with a brief pit stop at a minimart in between. I can't recall which bus we took to Loyang Valley since my memory perpetually fails on me. Anyhow, all four of us were astounded as that area exudes hints of tranquility, a different place to reside in.
After which, we made our way to Tampines Mall to catch a flick together. We contemplated briefly between 17 Again and X-Men since they have suitable time slots for us, both of which I have already watched. Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind catching either one of the films again. X-Men was our final pick and we got the tickets for the five of us. We grabbed our lunch at Pastamania and Hamz called me a gangster for using up too much of the parmesan cheese. Haha.
Mas rushed off right after the show and with time on our hands, we strolled around a bit before going down to Fish & Co. for desserts. I felt glad seeing them enjoying their Hot Fudge. Meanwhile, I went to change and prepare myself for work.
Despite being a Thursday night, the crowd was unexpectedly scanty. Fortunately, I was working with dearest, Ash and Betty with Mhars as MOD. What more can I ask for?
We ended work earlier than usual, so naturally, a huge part of me was dancing on the inside. When Khai left to get his bike, dearest and I ambled over to bikepark(carpark) behind Mcdonalds to retrieve his bike. Ash managed to join us before Khai arrived. Once Khai had gotten here, we left for supper at Asalam. I felt like I was out with kids. Hahaha.
Yet another day spent with dearest :D
8 May 2009, Friday:
I weighed my options and came to a conclusion of skipping both lectures, but come to think of it, I was pretty foolish, I must say. Whatever it is, I doubt I regretted my incorrigible, unforgivable actions. How contradicting.
I reached Tampines Mall at 1030 so I went down to Fish & Co. to leave my uniform and shoes there. Since I was early and had time to kill, I helped May Ann stack those sauces up. I simply looove doing that! I stayed on till 1100 before leaving to meet Ash. We took 969 to Khatib MRT station and from there, we took a train to Ang Mo Kia. I know I sound like a bonehead, but I swear that was the longest one-stop ride, ever! It felt as though we have already passed three stations instead.
We were at Nanyang Polytechnic to collect Ash's graduation gown. He thought I would be critical about his campus, but honestly, I didn't think it was as old and rundown as he described it to be. He retrieved his gown and kind of brought me around on our way out of the school. After which, we headed back to Tampines. Temasek Polytechnic, to be precise. How ironic. As we were walking in business school, Anne called Ash to ask where we were, and then he handed me the phone to speak to her. So I just stopped on the spot whilst talking to her, and guess who I saw?!
Anyway, Anne came to find us after visiting a doctor and we grabbed our lunch at ITAS. I have to admit, I felt delighted walking around in school when I skipped lectures. Yes, I know I have to kick this old habit of mine. Put that aside, shall we? So we sauntered back to business school and that was when Nadz joined us. As if that much walking wasn't enough, we perambulated to engine school and sat around for a while before exiting by Breadboard for Sugerloaf. However, when we reached Culinary Academy, we realised Sugarloaf was closed. In the scorching sun ferr nuthin'? Such a waste. That place was easy on the eyes.
We made our way back to mouth of business to meet Nabilah. Not too long after, Nadz parted from us, and we also took a bus to Tampines Mall. I don't think I have ever had so many bus rides in a day before. Impressive, Jean.
Congratulations.
Hahaha.
Work was good, though not as magnificent as the previous night. Eric was told not to report for work as the crowd was lesser than what we usually have on a Friday night, especially when that was the eve of public holiday. Technically, we operated with a strength less, but fortunately, it was considerably manageable for us all.
Once closing was done, I left with Farhan to head over to Nadz's place. Khai's brakes were faulty, so it was pretty worrying for us. Whichever that area was, it kind of gave me the impression of Pasir Ris estate. So anyway, whilst travelling to East Coast, I was seriously enjoying my ride with the wind patting against my exposed skin. It got even more sensational when the wind got a little too cold.
Khai, Farhan and I had arrived first so we waited for the rest to get there. We sat at such an isolated corner of Carl's Junior, not like we had any other choice. Doesn't really matter to me, though. It wasn't too long before Nadz, Ash and their friend, Raudha (dearest, please correct me if I got it wrong) got there. Seeing them looking deprived of Double Western was a joy. You have absolutely no idea how I felt at that point of time. It was hilarious.
We hung around outside for a while after their supper before all of us separated our own ways. The returned journey was even better! The wind got more chilly and I enjoyed every single bit of it. But it was a little too cold for dearest. At least it would help in keeping him awake while riding. So I got home at about 0200, slightly after my dad, and I was honestly surprised he laughed instead of nagging or reprimanding me.
What a wonderful day with sixteen hours spent outside.
Knickers.
